The Digital Citizenship Campaign Africa (DCCA) paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Rislan A. Kanya, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, and Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Climate-Smart Agriculture (CCSA), Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, at his office in Abuja on 9 December 2025.

The visit provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on areas of collaboration, particularly at the intersection of digital citizenship, climate-smart agriculture, technology, and sustainable development. Discussions focused on the importance of equipping young people with relevant digital skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to Africa’s sustainable future.

A major highlight of the visit was the formal presentation of a Certificate of Honorary Ambassadorial Role to Dr. Kanya by the Digital Citizenship Campaign Africa. The recognition acknowledges his leadership, commitment to innovation and digital empowerment, as well as his continued support for initiatives that promote responsible and meaningful use of technology.

As Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Cosmopolitan University and CEO of the Centre for Climate-Smart Agriculture, Dr. Kanya continues to support initiatives that connect education, agriculture, technology, innovation, and sustainability, with a strong focus on creating opportunities for young people and communities.

The Centre for Climate-Smart Agriculture appreciates the recognition and the opportunity to strengthen its engagement with the Digital Citizenship Campaign Africa.
