The Centre for Climate-Smart Agriculture (CCSA) and the Faculty of Climate-Smart Agriculture at Cosmopolitan University Abuja are hosting a 2-Day Co-Creation Workshop for the National Internship on Climate-Smart and Digital Agriculture Programme. This event, from April 1st to 2nd, 2026, aims to bring together academic and industry leaders to shape Nigeria’s agricultural future.

The workshop, will include representatives from Audu Bako College of Agriculture, Dambatta, Kano State; College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia; Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora and Adamawa State College of Education, Hong. Together with industry partners, they will design the operational framework for an internship program focused on climate-smart agriculture, youth empowerment, and data-driven agricultural transformation.

Dr. Rislana Abdulazeez Kanya, CEO of CCSA, stated, “This workshop is crucial for building a collaborative program that advances climate-smart agriculture and empowers our youth. We’re bringing together the best minds to tackle climate-smart practice and food security.”

The internship program will integrate digital agriculture with climate-smart strategies. Participants will discuss curriculum, recruitment, and field training, including digital tools and data protocols.

Industry partners are invited to contribute, especially during Session 7: Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Integration on Day 2. Their insights on financing, technology, and global partnerships are essential to ensure the program meets industry needs and has maximum impact.

This collaborative effort highlights a shared commitment to agricultural innovation and building a resilient, digitally-enabled agricultural sector in Nigeria.
