CCSA Hosts NUC Teams for Resource Verification to Establish Faculty of Climate-Smart Agriculture

The Centre for Climate-Smart Agriculture (CCSA), Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, recently hosted a National Universities Commission (NUC) team for a resource verification exercise as part of the University’s plans to establish a Faculty of Climate-Smart Agriculture. The proposed faculty will offer three academic programs: Agronomy and Crop Production, Agricultural Extension and Rural Innovation (with a focus on digital extension services), and Agribusiness.
During the visit, the NUC team assessed the University’s facilities, laboratories, demonstration farms, and teaching infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory standards for the establishment of the faculty.
In a related development, another NUC team visited Cosmopolitan University to evaluate the establishment of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with a focus on agribusiness, renewable energy management, and related sectors, reflecting the University’s commitment to integrating technology-driven, climate-smart solutions across its academic offerings.
These initiatives underscore Cosmopolitan University’s mission to advance climate-smart agriculture, agribusiness innovation, and sustainable development through cutting-edge academic programs, research, and capacity-building initiatives.
